Volunteer Induction Process
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Beccles RUFC.
Our volunteers play a vital role in creating a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming environment for everyone involved in rugby. To help us meet RFU safeguarding requirements and support our volunteers from the outset, we ask that all new volunteers complete our induction process before commencing their role.
This process applies to anyone undertaking a role that involves Regulated Activity with children (under 18) or adults at risk and therefore requires an RFU DBS check.
What is Regulated Activity?
Regulated Activity includes roles that involve the regular teaching, coaching, training, instruction, care, or supervision of children or adults at risk.
Examples of roles that typically require an RFU DBS check include:
Coaches
Team Managers
First Aiders
Safeguarding Volunteers
Regular Mini & Youth Volunteers
Please note that the RFU cannot accept DBS checks issued through other employers or organisations. If your role requires a DBS check, this must be completed through the RFU process.

Our induction process helps ensure that everyone working with children and adults at risk understands their responsibilities and is equipped to uphold the values and standards expected by both the club and the RFU.
We appreciate the time and commitment our volunteers give to the club and look forward to welcoming you to the Beccles RUFC volunteer team.
Together, we make the club possible. ?
