Some cracking news from the Youth section of Beccles RFC.

Please find attached pics of 7 Beccles RFC youth lads that have successfully been selected for the Leicester Tigers Rugby Development Player Programme (DPP) for next season 2018-19 starting in September 2018. The 3 year Programme is designed to enable players with potential to be identified and receive high quality development expertise and support through age groups pathways and potentially represent the Leicester Tigers badge.
U13s Bulls (left 2 right) Theo Cooper, Jake Bailey, Tyler Russell, Niall Smith, Elliot McMillan, Harry Crannage successfully trialled over 5 weeks and were successful in joining the U14s Programme next season.
Elias Smith is an U15 and joined the Tigers Programme this season and we've seen incredible development in is his game.
These lads fully deserve their opportunities. They've worked extremely hard and have been fully committed throughout the trial process. Reaching the DPP Programme and staying in for the 3 years will take sacrifices and these lads have certainly started their development pathway with a super attitude and hunger.
A special thanks to coach Richard Bailey and Team Manager Geri Smith for their support which has also helped the lads journey.
This achievement is fantastic for Beccles Rugby Club, and a direct result of the Clubs investment and focus in the Minis & Youth sections the past 6 years. I expect more Beccles lads to be joining the Tigers Programme going forward
