At Beccles RUFC, player safety is our top priority. By participating in the RFU's HEADCASE program, we aim to increase understanding and provide information on concussion and related topics, including prevention and management of suspected concussions. This program is recognised as one of the UK's leading resources for concussion awareness and education.
All players, coaches, and parents must strictly adhere to the RFU's recommendations when dealing with concussion, without exception. Players suffering from or suspected of having a concussion will be logged in our "Proactive APP's" concussion module, which is designed to help us manage concussion incidents and support players' graduated return to play
Players, parents, and coaches will receive email/text updates as the player progresses through the return-to-play guidelines. Please review the attached RFU and graduated return-to-play guidelines to familiarise yourself with the procedures we will be following as a club.
We strongly recommend that parents, players, and coaches complete the online HEADCASE training, which can be accessed through the provided links:
This information is also included in each groups Spond.
Thank you for your time and support in prioritising player safety. Hopefully, we will not need to utilise this program this season.
