Beccles 22 v Lowestoft and Yarmouth 14 Beccles were victorious in a friendly with local rivals Lowestoft and Yarmouth. Beccles used the game to give some of their younger players a run out and came from behind to win 22 – 14. Beccles took a long while to get out of the starting blocks in the first half and Lowestoft had them under pressure for long periods. These periods of pressure resulted in two tries for Lowestoft who went in to half time leading 14 – 0. Beccles began to play better in the second half with the forwards starting to dominate. After a number of drives towards the line scrum half Sale peeled of the back of a ruck and crashed over for his first of two tries. He added another in similar fashion soon after. Beccles were able to repel a number of scrums on their own line before Musker McIntyre man of the match Arnold scored the try of the afternoon. As Beccles broke out of defence he chipped over the opposition backline and collected his own kick. He than out sprinted the defence to score. Beccles were then able to close out the game and Wade added a penalty to his previous two conversions with the last kick of the game. This gave a final score of 22 – 14.
